Sugar Reset Ingredients: What Is Really in the Drops Before You Buy
Each 1 mL serving of Sugar Reset lists chromium (as chromium picolinate) 0.7 mcg and one 200 mg proprietary blend of 22 herbs, extracts and amino acids. Only chromium has a printed amount. The sales page names six ingredients and skips 17, including guarana, a caffeine source, and a licorice compound.

Key facts
- Serving size 1 mL, 60 servings per container, in a 2 fl oz (60 mL) bottle.
- Chromium (as chromium picolinate): 0.7 mcg, 2% of the Daily Value. It is the only printed amount.
- Proprietary Blend: 200 mg for 22 ingredients, with no single amounts.
- Other ingredients: glycerin, water, organic lemon extract, stevia extract 97% (Reb A), xylitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid and natural flavors.
- The sales page names six ingredients. The label lists 23 actives, so 17 are never mentioned.
- Guarana and green tea are caffeine sources. The caffeine amount is not printed.
- The label has three spelling errors. They do not change what is inside.
What are the ingredients in Sugar Reset, in label order?
Here is the full list, copied in the order the label prints it. A blend must list its heaviest ingredient first, so the order tells you something about size (FDA, Labeling guide).

- Eleutherococcus senticosus (eleuthero) root extract
- Astragalus root extract
- Green tea leaf extract

Which six ingredients does the sales page name?
The sales page names chromium picolinate, gymnema leaf extract, African mango seed extract, green tea leaf extract, maca root extract and Panax ginseng aerial extract (Sugar Reset sales page, October 2026). All six are on the label. That part is accurate.
| Ingredient | Label place | Most per serving | Most per day at 2 droppers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chromium picolinate | Own line | 0.7 mcg (printed) | 1.4 mcg |
| Maca root | 1 of 22 | At least about 9 mg, at most 200 mg | Up to 400 mg |
| African mango seed | 4 of 22 | At most 50 mg | At most 100 mg |
| Green tea leaf | 7 of 22 | At most about 29 mg | At most about 57 mg |
| Gymnema leaf | 8 of 22 | At most 25 mg | At most 50 mg |
| Panax ginseng aerial | 12 of 22 | At most about 17 mg | At most about 33 mg |
Daily figures assume a full dropper holds about 1 mL. The label does not say.
What does the sales page leave out?
It never mentions 17 of the 22 blend ingredients: grape seed, guarana, eleuthero, astragalus, coleus forskohlii, capsicum, grapefruit, raspberry ketones, L-glutamine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, beta-alanine, the licorice compound, GABA, L-ornithine, L-tryptophan and L-carnitine.
Two deserve a second look. Guarana seed contains caffeine (MSKCC, Guarana). It sits third, so it may reach about 67 mg of seed extract a serving, and the caffeine inside is not printed. The licorice compound sits 18th, at most about 11 mg. Glycyrrhizin from licorice has been linked to high blood pressure and heart rhythm problems (NCCIH, Licorice).
Leaving those out of an ad is not illegal, but it means you must read the label yourself. That is the point of this page.
How much of each ingredient is in one serving?
The label does not say. It prints 200 mg for the whole blend. Dividing 200 mg by 22 gives about 9 mg per ingredient on average, but the ingredients are not equal, and the order caps each one. The ingredient in place k can weigh at most 200 divided by k.
That is why gymnema, in place 8, is at most 25 mg a serving. LiverTox lists 400 mg three times a day as a typical studied dose (LiverTox, Gymnema). At 2 droppers a day the label allows at most 50 mg of gymnema, against 1,200 mg in the studies. The amounts are small, and no one has tested the combination.
A ceiling is an upper bound from label order. The real amount may be lower. It is our arithmetic, not a lab result, and a lab test of this bottle is not published.
Is Sugar Reset drops, capsules, pills or gummies?
It is a liquid. The label describes a 2 fl oz (60 mL) amber glass dropper bottle, with a serving size of 1 mL. Capsules, pills and gummies are different products, even if their names look similar.
The same formula is sold under other brand names, so a look-alike bottle may carry the same facts panel under a different name. Check for the words SUGAR RESET on the front, a serving size of 1 mL, chromium 0.7 mcg, a 200 mg blend and the distributor line: Instituto Experience, Lakeland, FL 33804.
The maker is not named on the label or on the sales page. The label says only that the product is made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients.
Which ingredients matter if you take medicines or have a condition?
Ask your clinician or pharmacist before use. Here are the main interactions that public sources link to individual ingredients. The amounts in this bottle are small and not printed, so the risk may be low, but it is not zero.
| If you take | Ingredient | Possible problem |
|---|---|---|
| Insulin or diabetes pills | Chromium, L-arginine | Added glucose-lowering effect (NIH ODS, Chromium) (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) |
| Blood thinners such as warfarin | Guarana | Higher bleeding risk (MSKCC, Guarana) |
| Nitrates or sildenafil | L-arginine | Blood pressure may drop too low (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine) |
| Medicines for blood pressure or the heart | Licorice compound, caffeine | May push blood pressure or heart rhythm (NCCIH, Licorice) |
Dogs are at risk too. The drops contain xylitol, which is dangerous to dogs (FDA, Xylitol and dogs).
Are there spelling mistakes on the label?
Yes, three. The label prints "Lepidium mevenii" for maca, which is spelled Lepidium meyenii. It prints "Irvingia gabonesis" for African mango, which is spelled Irvingia gabonensis. It prints "L-Typtophan" for L-tryptophan. They do not change what is inside. They do make handy markers when you match a real bottle against a look-alike.
Frequently asked questions
What are the ingredients in Sugar Reset?
Chromium (as chromium picolinate) 0.7 mcg, then a 200 mg proprietary blend of 22 ingredients led by maca, grape seed, guarana and African mango and ending with eight amino acids. Nine other ingredients, including stevia, xylitol and two preservatives, form the base.
How much of each ingredient is in Sugar Reset?
Only chromium has a printed amount, 0.7 mcg per 1 mL serving. The other 22 ingredients share one 200 mg blend, so the label gives no single amounts. Label order sets a ceiling for each one.
Does Sugar Reset contain caffeine?
It contains guarana seed extract and green tea leaf extract, which are both caffeine sources. The label does not print how much caffeine a serving holds. If you are sensitive to caffeine, ask your clinician first.
Is there licorice in Sugar Reset?
Yes. The blend lists monoammonium glycyrrhizinate, a compound from licorice root, 18th of 22 ingredients. Licorice compounds can raise blood pressure in some people, so ask first if you have high blood pressure or heart disease.
Are Sugar Reset capsules or pills available?
The product on this site is a liquid in a dropper bottle. Capsules, pills or gummies sold under a similar name are different products, and we have not verified them. Check the label against the facts panel described here.
What other ingredients are in the base?
Glycerin, water, organic lemon extract, stevia extract 97% (Reb A), xylitol, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid and natural flavors. Xylitol is dangerous to dogs, so keep the bottle out of their reach.
Our view
Our view is that the label is more honest than the sales page. Everything in the bottle is listed, in weight order, and the one printed amount is small. The weak points are the hidden blend amounts, the unprinted caffeine and the 17 ingredients the ad never mentions.
If you plan to buy, read the facts panel first and show it to your doctor, especially if you take medicines. Sugar Reset is not FDA approved and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
