Chromium in Sugar Reset: 0.7 mcg Per Serving, Explained

Quick answer

Sugar Reset lists 0.7 mcg of chromium (as chromium picolinate) per 1 mL serving, 2% of the Daily Value. It is the only printed amount. At 1 or 2 droppers a day, assuming a dropper holds about 1 mL, that is 0.7 to 1.4 mcg. Adults need about 25 to 35 mcg a day, and the ADA does not recommend chromium for blood sugar.

On the label

What is the chromium in Sugar Reset?

Chromium is an essential trace mineral. Sugar Reset lists it as "Chromium (as chromium picolinate) 0.7 mcg," with a 2% Daily Value. Chromium picolinate is a mineral salt.

Chromium sits on its own line, above the 200 mg proprietary blend. That makes it the only ingredient in the bottle with a known amount. The sales page names chromium picolinate first among its six key ingredients (Sugar Reset sales page, October 2026), and it really is on the label.

A microgram (mcg) is one millionth of a gram. You can check the line yourself on the Supplement Facts page.

Per day

How much chromium do 1 or 2 droppers of Sugar Reset add up to?

Between 0.7 and 1.4 mcg, if a dropper holds about 1 mL. Switch between 1 and 2 droppers to compare.

Droppers a day (label: 1 or 2)
Chromium a day1.4 mcgabout 4% of the 35 mcg Daily Value

Assumes a full dropper is about 1 mL, the label's serving size; the label does not say how much a dropper holds. Ceilings come from label order, not a lab test. Chromium figures (NIH ODS, Chromium); gymnema's typical dose (LiverTox, Gymnema). Never more than 2 droppers a day.

The label says "1 or 2 droppers full daily" and gives a serving size of 1 mL. Nowhere does it state a dropper's volume. Our numbers assume one full dropper is about 1 mL, so 1 dropper is one serving and 2 droppers are two servings.

On that assumption, one dropper gives 0.7 mcg of chromium, 2% of the 35 mcg Daily Value. Two droppers give 1.4 mcg, or 4% (NIH ODS, Chromium). Two droppers is the daily maximum. Step-by-step directions are on the how to use page.

Daily needs

How much chromium do adults need?

About 20 to 35 mcg a day, depending on age and sex. Sugar Reset covers a small slice of that.

The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements lists Adequate Intakes for chromium, and the label Daily Value is 35 mcg (NIH ODS, Chromium).

Even in the group with the lowest need, two droppers supply less than a tenth of the daily intake.

Research

What does research say about chromium and blood sugar?

The results are mixed. Trials of chromium for glucose control are inconsistent, says the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (NIH ODS, Chromium).

  • A 2019 review pooled 58 trials. It found slight drops in fasting glucose and HbA1c, and the clinical meaning of those drops is unclear.
  • FDA allows only a qualified health claim for chromium. That claim calls the link to insulin resistance highly uncertain.
  • No trial has tested Sugar Reset, and none has tested chromium at 0.7 to 1.4 mcg a day as a blood sugar aid.

Sugar Reset pairs a trace of chromium with a 22-ingredient blend. For a closer look at study doses, read what chromium doses mean.

Guidelines

Does the ADA recommend chromium supplements?

No. The American Diabetes Association's 2026 Standards of Care, Recommendation 5.16, says supplements of micronutrients such as chromium or magnesium are not recommended for glycemic benefit (ADA, Standards of Care 2026).

The ADA's own words

"Without underlying deficiency, there is no benefit from herbal or other (i.e., vitamin or mineral) supplementation for people with diabetes" (ADA, Standards of Care 2026).

The ADA also says supplements are not proven to lower blood glucose. It asks people to discuss any supplement with their care team (ADA, Vitamins and supplements).

Safety

Can the chromium in Sugar Reset affect diabetes medicines?

In theory, yes, though the amount here is tiny. Chromium may add to the glucose-lowering effect of insulin and other diabetes drugs, which raises the risk of low blood sugar (NIH ODS, Chromium).

Tell your clinician first

If you take insulin, a sulfonylurea or a meglitinide, ask before you start Sugar Reset. Treat any reading under 70 mg/dL with shakiness, hunger or confusion at once (NIDDK, Hypoglycemia). Keep any medicine changes in your clinician's hands.

Other ingredients carry their own cautions. They are collected on the side effects page.

Labeling

Why is chromium printed when the other amounts are not?

Because the rules require it. FDA labeling rules say ingredients with a Daily Value, such as chromium, must be listed separately with their own amounts (FDA, Labeling guide). Herbs and amino acids without a Daily Value can sit inside a proprietary blend, where only the total weight is shown.

So the chromium line is the one figure on the label that buyers can compare with research. Before your first dose, check that the bottle you receive matches:

  1. Find the chromium line

It should read chromium (as chromium picolinate) 0.7 mcg, 2%.

  2. Check the serving size

It should say 1 ml, with 60 servings per container.

  3. Look for the distributor

The label names Instituto Experience of Lakeland, FL. A different panel may mean a look-alike product.

FAQ

Chromium in Sugar Reset: common questions

How much chromium is in one dropper of Sugar Reset?

About 0.7 mcg, if one full dropper holds about 1 mL. The label lists 0.7 mcg of chromium per 1 mL serving but does not say how much a dropper holds. That amount is 2% of the 35 mcg Daily Value.

Is 0.7 mcg of chromium enough to make a difference?

There is no evidence that it is. Adults need about 20 to 35 mcg a day, and Sugar Reset adds 0.7 to 1.4 mcg. Full-dose trials found only slight changes of unclear meaning. No trial has tested this product.

What form of chromium does Sugar Reset use?

Chromium picolinate. The label reads chromium (as chromium picolinate) 0.7 mcg. Chromium picolinate is a mineral salt and a common supplement form. It is the only ingredient on the Sugar Reset label with its own printed amount.

Can chromium make blood sugar drop too low?

It may add to the effect of insulin and other diabetes drugs, according to the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, which raises the risk of lows. The amount in Sugar Reset is tiny, but tell your clinician and watch for readings under 70 mg/dL.

Does the American Diabetes Association recommend chromium?

No. Its 2026 Standards of Care say chromium, magnesium, herb and spice supplements are not recommended for blood sugar benefit. Without a real deficiency, the ADA says, such supplements bring no benefit.

How much chromium should an adult get each day?

The NIH lists Adequate Intakes of 35 mcg for men and 25 mcg for women aged 19 to 50, and 30 and 20 mcg after age 50. The Daily Value on labels is 35 mcg. Sugar Reset supplies 2% to 4% of it a day.
